Why does my e-mail and web browser work but STI and Accelerated Reader won ?

STI and Accelerated Reader are server-based programs that are stored on the network server. To access them you must be “logged on to” the network using your login name and password. Doing this keeps kids (and adults) who are not suppose be using STI or Accelerated Reader from doing so. E-mail and the Internet are not dependent upon the school server and are accessible without being “logged on to” the network.
