Why does my dog eat paper towels and toilet paper?
Sometimes children tear up and play with paper towels and/or toilet paper. It occupies them, and there’s LOTS of it. So, I guess your dog needs to get a light tap on the nose with some paper towel along with “NO” when you catch her/him doing it because that can create quite a mess if you don’t see it when it is happening. I’m sure it’s just play – so perhaps you need to get your dog a dog-toy to play with that s/he can’t destroy. It’s part of the training of the dog to learn what is good to play with, and what is not good to play with. And, your dog may need some time for you to play with him/her – or a chance for more outdoor exercise. I think you may need a bit of time to set some do’s and don’t for your Doberman and find the things that both you AND the dog enjoy.
