Why does my dog act perfectly normal, but throws up and has bloody stool?
You’re absolutely right that bloody diarrhea is NOT something to ignore! It’s unusual for a dog with this type of diarrhea not to appear unwell, but that doesn’t mean there is nothing wrong. This could be due to irritation in the colon from eating something she shouldn’t have, or a parasite infestation, bacterial or viral illness or a number of other things. The vomiting is probably part of the same problem, but with diarrhea as well she is at risk of dehydration. She needs to see a veterinarian as soon as possible.
