Why does my computer suddenly go into standby mode even though the battery is charged?
How old is your laptop? The battery may be on its last legs. If you keep your battery on every time when the laptop is on mains power , the battery could lose its memory even if pretty new. Its best to let your battery run down fully and then recharge keep doing it like that and you condition your battery which will start to last longer and longer each time you look after the battery properly, which should last near what its made to do but thats down to you how you use your laptop. I keep my battery removed from my laptop and my sons, both of us use at home and dont need battery, so our batteries are still brand new and unused, ready to use if we need them. Sorry I didnt read your question properly. Johnathan above could be right as I forgot about power saving mode that you can set yourself, I can do it on my laptop. If I leave my laptop unattended for a set time the laptop will go into standby mode to save battery powerr that you may need.
