Why does my cat stick his tongue out?
Hi there, My cat often does that too. I think that the reason that my cat does this, and it may be the same for your kitty, is that often when a cat feels confused, or defensive about something and is thinking of a way to deal with an issue, they often resort to grooming. Of course their tongue will be out to begin grooming, but they may stop and think about that as well, so the tongue is still out, but the grooming behavior has not yet started.
