Why does my carpet resoil faster now that it’s older?
When your carpet is manufactured it is often treated with a protective coating that resists soils and stains. Overtime this protection wears off and therefore it will resoil faster than when it was new. Improper cleaning of the carpet can also cause it to resoil faster. Many do-it-yourself carpet cleaning machines as well as some professionals will leave soap residues in the carpet that attract soil. Esteem’s process leaves absolutely no residue. To help your carpet stay cleaner longer, like when it was new, we recommend regular cleanings before you can see soil. We also recommend applying Scotchgard after each cleaning to replace the worn off protection that was applied at the carpet mill.
