Why does my British Gas UT2 central heating timer switch keep beeping?

Has your central heating unit *been* operating satisfactorily *before* now? If so, and you know that the “gas pilot light” or “electric igniter* is performing correctly, AND your heating unit *still* is performing properly as to the main burner firing up and the blower coming on after a short time of warm-up to circulate the warm air, until the setting on the thermostat is satisfied (to *your* satisfaction, too) — and then the main burner shuts down, followed by the blower shutdown after a short time of cool-down of the plenum chamber & duct system — THEN : If the “beeping” at the timer/temp. control box continues, there *must* be some sensor in the system that is *NOT* being satisfied. If your owner’s manual doesn’t give you the answer to what this “special” sensor is and how to replace it, I *do* believe that you’re going to *have* to pay the money to have a good, recommended repair person to come out and diagnose your problem and give you an estimate of the cost for a *guaranteed*
