Why does my boost gauge make a rattling sound when I get up to a certain point on my 6.0L Ford Powerstroke?
A. The Variable Geometry Turbochargers sometimes cause a rattling sound within the boost gauge if the boost gauge tubing is tapped into the truck’s MAP sensor hose. To cure this you will need to drill and tap the intake elbow. There are instructions available on our installation sheets page. Click on the link “Gauge Installation pictures on Ford Powerstroke”.
