Why does my answering machine play the Outgoing Announcement twice and callers can leave messages?
This is normal operation when the unit is in “Announce Only” mode. This is a feature that is used when you want to have an outgoing announcement play but you do not want the unit to take any messages. If you would like your unit to record messages, please see your owner’s manual. You will need to take the unit out of “Announce Only” mode.
