Why does my 7 week old kitten cry when she poops?
When you say normal is the stool normal for an adult cat or a kitten Kittens should have relatively softer stools due to their liquid milk diet from their mothers! Which they should revcieve until 8 weeks. Although scary this is normal if the diet is too harsh! When human babies deficate it is the same situation! They struggle with it, for lack of better words! Although if this keeps up when the kitten gets a little older you may want to consult a vet, as is your kitten may have a preforated lining in their largfe intestin, duodenum or rectum! This will not kill your kitten but it is painful, sort of as painful as a hemoroid! So I would just watch! But if bllod is in the stool then I would take your kitten to a vet immeadietly. Blood could be a sign of a greater scale rupture in the lower digestive tract. * also often cats make noises when going the bathroom is hard, just as if when a human grunts!
