Why does Murray 17 hp model 425007x92c lawn mower stop when gets hot then start when cools off?
The first thing to check is to remove the cover from the top of the engine and see if there is a bunch of grass under there that is packed in the fins that are supposed to keep the engine cool. The other possibilty is that the coil is breaking down after it gets hot. I would check for the grass and clean it real good and see what happens.
