Why does Mozilla show source code/gibberish instead of SVG?

There are two possible reasons for this: a simple mistake in the SVG file, or a misconfigured server. If there’s a grey area at the top of the source with the text “This XML file does not appear to have any style information associated with it” then the problem is with the SVG file.
