Why does MicroGiving encourage people with a Hardship to provide Supporting Documents?
There are a number of reasons: • MicroGiving, as an organization, will not donate any of its own funds to any Recipients on the site that have not been Verified • Sufficient Supporting Documents enable us to verify your need for financial help. This reinsures donors that you are not only who you claim to be, but also that your need is legitimate and verifiable. • MicroGiving only puts verified Requests under the “Featured” section on our homepage. Profiles under this section have high visibility and a better chance of receiving donations. • Overall, donors prefer to give to individuals or families whom they know have legitimate needs. Providing sufficient Supporting Documents greatly increases your chances of receiving donations.
