Why does MediaGun prompt me to change a .vob extension into .mpg?
The Windows Media Player, which shares with MediaGun its DVD playback ability, does not allow for playback of .vob files WHEN COPIED ONTO A HARD DISK. This is probably related to intellectual property and copyright issues. This is why, when it finds a .vob file in a Resource Folder on a hard drive, MediaGun prompts you to change the .vob extension into .mpg. This makes it possible to playback the audio-video content. However, please note that the interactive options of the DVD menu are lost.
