Why does man demand instant gratification?
Because they are separated from God and happiness. They think that is where happiness is to be found. They are desperate for that long lost happiness but alas, they have searched the wrong places to get happiness and it eludes them. True happiness can never be got from sense gratification. Only a slight semblance of flickering happiness will come from it. So again one seeks and gratifies and seeks but is never satiated. It is like pouring oil or ghee onto a fire. The fire just burns more strongly and that causes more and more selfishness in the world. True happiness comes only when the heart links with it’s true eternal relationship with it’s true friend, God in loving service.
