Why does loads of electronic stuff come from hong kong?
Yeah, it’s just cheaper for foreign companies to import it from there then it is to pay people in their own country to make it, and as for the crazy prices on ebay, well there aren’t loads of people making money off of it, just one, usually you’d have a manufacturer, distributor, importer and a retail company (at least 4 people/companies) all making enough money on it to pay their running costs and a little profit… but a word of warning, if you have trouble with your product you may find that you have no way of getting a refund or exchange, and even if you are able to get a refund or exchange you will still have to pay the high postage costs, it’s also worth mentioning that you may get a letter from customs and excise a few weeks after your package arrives demanding you pay import tax…
