Why does Lambda Pi Eta collect dues from its members?
Membership dues are an essential part of Lambda Pi Eta’s operating budget—dues make it possible for LPH to sponsor guest speakers, hold academic conferences, reserve meeting space and equipment, purchase supplies and provide support to members who attend academic conferences outside of the Raleigh-Durham area. As a non-profit student organization, Lambda Pi Eta relies exclusively on dues, fundraising, student fees (when available from Student Government) and private donations to fund its activities.
