Why does Laclede County need a meth treatment center?
There are many people in Laclede County who want to get off meth and who want to continue/return to work, but they are unable to do so without help. Many employers in discovering an employee is using meth are required by their liability insurance to either fire the person or see to it that they are in some sort of drug treatment program. A local treatment center would insure jobs in Laclede County. There are no local residential drug programs of any kind in our immediate area and those in nearby communities are full, with long waiting lists.
