Why does kitten bite itself (tail, legs, etc.)?
The kitten may be grooming itself, I have four cats, and they do appear to be biting themselves when they are grooming. They sometimes do it if they have an itch too, but that isn’t really biting, but they just scrape their teeth along the surface of their skin to get rid of the itch. Another thing it could be is flees. To check for flees, slowly run your finger backwards along the cat’s fur, so the fur stands up and check where the fur meets the skin, you can usually tell if a cat has flees if little black spots appear attached to the base of the fur, these are the eggs of the flees. If it’s a black cat I can understand that it would be hard to look for black eggs on a black cat, so you could use a flee comb instead if your cat will let you. Just run the comb through the cat’s fur making sure you get the full length of the fur with the comb. When the comb comes out, if there are black spots on it, which will be really small so you have to really look for them, you cat might have flees
