Why does Kenmore associate with, and have everything to do with Sears in every possible way?
Sears started Kenmore in 1911, when the name Kenmore appeared on a Sears sewing machine. In 1927, Kenmore made its brand name debut on a Sears clothes washer, and in 1933, Sears registered Kenmore as an official trademark. One reason Kenmore is associated with Sears is because it IS Sears, spelled K-e-n-m-o-r-e. Kenmore is Sears, but, of course, Sears is not all Kenmore. Kenmore had sold its one millionth product by 1936. Where did all those time and labor-saving inventions come from? Why, for most of America, it was the Sears and Roebuck catalog. I’ve heard older people talk about the Depression, and how there was nowhere to go, and no money to get there, and when you tried, it was all uphill, even the walk hone.
