Why does KCTS 9 telemarket?
We make calls to solicit donations through a telemarketing company because it is a cost-effective way to raise funds to support the station. As long as enough donors donate over the phone to make telemarketing cost-effective, we will continue using telemarketing to raise money. But if you do not wish to be solicited by phone, please let us know. We certainly do not want to waste time or money calling people who are annoyed by receiving calls. We will always honor any and all requests you make about how you wish to be contacted.
