Therefore, very high volume periods will naturally add to our overall processing time; and (2) In order to protect ourselves against gift card fraud, we require a longer processing time than you will find on our competitors’ websites. If there is a potential fraud problem with a gift card/certificate being offered to us for sale, this additional processing time affords us the opportunity to fully investigate the history of each gift card/certificate.
