Why does it hurt putting a tampon in?

0

Hiya, I have had periods for 12 years and I still mess up with tampons so don’t worry about it lol Have patience. Read the instructions a few times over, slowly and take a deep breath. Most importantly RELAX, because you won’t get anywhere otherwise. Being a virgin is nothing to do with it, maybe you could try a different tampon brand? Sometimes that’s the only problem with some girls/women. Always make sure you are using the smallest one (lowest absorbancy) possible and you are definitely right to use applicator ones, I find plastic better than cardboard. I was going to say don’t ever try to put one in when you are not having your period, but I am sure you know that anyway. Maybe you could try an alternative to a tampon (a sponge or cup) I have been thinking about getting either one, they are supposed to be easy to use and everything but I can’t really comment on them from personal experience.
