Why does it attach to a rear rack instead of the seat post?
A. Centering the trailercycle hitch over the bicycles rear axle allows the Piccolo and Kazoo to track better than other trailercycles. Through a combination of the rock-solid bearing-based hitch and the shorter distance of the Burley trailercycle frame (relative to seat post mounted trailercycles), the Piccolo and Kazoo handle better than other trailercycles on the market. This unique design allows the Piccolo and Kazoo to more closely follow the line of the leading bike when cornering. The trailercycle pivots on ball bearings, so there is no slop that causes a shimmy or other erratic handling.
