Why does it appear that a single user is consecutively outbidding themselves on an item?
When this happens, it means it means that user X has placed a Maximum Bid Amount. When user Y places a bid that is lower than user X’s Maximum Bid Amount, the system immediately places another bid on user X’s behalf and records this automatic increase in the bid history. User Y’s unsuccessful bid attempt is not recorded in the bid history. Top I am unable to access the most up-to-date bidding information. For the most up-to-date countdown time on a listing, refresh the browser page. You may not be looking at the latest version of the page on your screen. When you call for pages from the Web, they are “cached” on your hard drive to save you time. This does not effect your bid: only your ability to see it on your computer. The Bid History/Bid Status shows bids as soon as they are entered. If your bid doesn’t appear, you may be viewing an old version of the page. Try clicking your browser’s “refresh” or “reload” buttons while participating in the auctions.
