The product needs to contact a licensing server to enforce licenses. Anyone can download our software, the only thing that guarantees it has been paid for is the periodic license check. If the license does expire, then the InterWorx software displays an error page rather than what you would normally see. Websites, e-mail, ftp, etc are not affected if a license expires, only the control panel itself and with it you ability to configure your website features.
