Why Does Insecticide Resistance Occur?
Insecticide resistance is increasing in growing populations of insects around the world and it is reducing the effectiveness of pesticides that have been used for many decades. Resistance to pesticides is caused by a combination of natural selection factors, misuse or overuse of pesticides and through an increase in environmentally controlled settings that are used to grow foods and plants.
