Why does Indian military vehicles have different serial of registration numbers and what does this signify?
Vehicle registration numbers are given by state Governments. Central Government do not give registration numbers. Temporary registration numbers are given by vehicle manufacturers. In case of military their area of work is not defined due to their nature of job, they are empowered to give their own controlling number on their assests, their many vehicles can not ply on road as these are big in size some times chain mounted.
