As for your question, the answer is simple. Hollywood is a business. It wants to sell tickets and make money, so it gives the customers what they want. It doesn’t really care if the movies are pious or profane. It uses a simple standard: if people buy tickets to a film, they make more movies like that. If people don’t buy tickets, they make fewer movies like that.
