Why does history repeat itself in politics?

This is a very good question.I think the general public have been programmed by the political party’s, in as much that the majority of the working class are expected to stand by the Labour Party and its policies. The upper classes so to speak are by virtue of their standing in society more or less obliged to vote for the Tory Party. So basically you have the two big boys of politics, brainwashing the electorate with their gimmicks of promises of making life better for the nation in general. It never happens to be the out come as we have witnessed by all the governments in recent times. And yet, we still continue to favour these two party’s, knowing full well deep down, that sooner or later we will finish up getting rid of one or the other. So the merry go round starts all over again. History has a habit of repeating itself, so it seems.
