Why does history hate jews so much?
In christian Europe the jews were seen as the people that committed the worst of all crime: they killed Jesus, God on Earth. They were under the protection of kings during the middle ages. They had a good advantage: they could release some cash quickly. Disadvantage: if the king did not want to repay, he’d kick them out of ther kingdom. It happened in England (Edward 1st, the same in “Braveheart”) but all over Europe as well. Common people would pick on them, bully them, accuse them of all evil and occasionnally kill as many as they could (a progrom). It happened particularly around Easter time but also before going on a crusade. As for the Romans, well, the Jews were not a docile submitted people to the power of Rome and they revolted on several occasions, up until Rome decided to scatter them across the Empire. Ever since, they’ve been an easy target, the ideal scape-goat.
