Why does goose control with Border Collies work?
Visits are made at different times so that the geese do not learn any schedule and some visits are always made near dusk to prevent overnight roosting on your property. Geese are very smart – they even learn the types of vehicles we drive, so we have to park out of sight to surprise them. If the geese fly into the pond or lake, the dogs will swim in after them and get them up. Within a few weeks the geese learn that your property is no longer a good place to stay and relocate. It is like taking the “Eat at Joe´s” sign down.
