Why does FreeRange constantly ask to use the network to send and recieve data?

This is a “feature” of Java that is designed to prevent you from using applications that use your data connection without your knowledge and end up costing you money if you have a “pay-as-you-go” data plan. If you have a Nokia Series 60 phone, you can set this so that the application only asks the first time you access the network. Close FreeRange. Open the “Manager” application, select FreeRange, select the Settings menu and then, under Network Access, select “Ask first time”. Restart FreeRange. If you have a Nokia Series 40 phone, you can set this so that the application never asks. At the “Applications” menu, select FreeRange and then the “Web Access” menu. Select “Allowed” and then restart FreeRange.
