Why does FreeMarker print the numbers with strange formatting (as 1,000,000 or 1 000 000 instead of 1000000)?
FreeMarker uses the locale-sensitive number formatting capability of the Java platform. The default number format for your locale may uses grouping or other unwanted formatting. To prevent this, you have to override the number format suggested by the Java platform with the number_format FreeMarker setting.
