Why does Flintshire need a scheme like Spon Green?
We believe this scheme provides Flintshire with a totally sustainable scheme and not just housing dotted around the county filling in pockets and helps Flintshire contain its monies being spent within the county. The scheme also meets Planning Policy Wales (March 2002) and its sequel in 2006 which sets out the policies for developments for sustainable communities and encourages developments that provides for Afforable Housing, reduces journeys to work, shopping, leisure and creates more complete integrated settlements. Spon Green complies totally with government criteriea and makes Buckley the second largest settlement in Flintshire, a more complete town.
