Why does FAMIS open a 2nd browser window, and what happens to the first one after FAMIS starts up?
The 2nd window is opened by the Oracle application you are running, and does not contain browser features or capability. The actual browser window must remain open for FAMIS to operate, but may be minimized. Note: you can still access the world wide web while running FAMIS 8i, but you have to open another browser tab or window.
