This show is FAKE on so many levels! When they knock on the door, the family acts surprised, like they are not anticipating their involvement, but to build a home, such as those seen on this show would require many visits to the existing home site. There would be contracts needed to be filled out, permits, time and expense for finding what has to always be prefabricated homes. If the family is anticipating the visit, the show wants its viewers to believe that it is a COMPLETE surprise (obvious). A family member of mine knows someone who has worked on this show. The only thing I know is REAL is that Ty is really annoying, always gets his way. Please keep this question open for any more inside information on this show. What is the whole process from choosing the family to the start of construction? I am very curious?????? BTW, this is one of my favorite shows!
