Why does ESPZEN prefer to organize smaller leagues rather than the more lucrative 16 team league model as promoted by other amateur league organizers in Singapore ?
Other leagues in Singapore try to attract new teams to join their league via offering 4 or 5 figure sums for prize money. This makes a great headline in the newspaper true but as a footballer playing football in Singapore do you want to chase the dollar, or play well organized, hassle free football week in week out. Big prize money headlines could be offered by ESPZEN but we choose not too, we prefer to spend the money on providing 360 degree football service.
