Why does Ep. III use cards instead of weapons/items?
Ep. III uses cards instead of weapons mostly for effect; that is, to change things up a little. The interesting part about the whole change from Ep. I&II’s weapons and items to Ep. III’s C.A.R.D. technology, is that the items and weapons you know and love from the first episodes, are basically stored inside the cards in Ep. III! Once you use a card in Ep. III, the power of the actual item or weapon is released.
