Juniors and seniors at Edgewood High School may choose to take any of 12 Advanced Placement (AP) courses offered. AP courses, which are administered by the College Board, give you the opportunity to take college-level courses while still in high school. Students who then score a 3, 4 or 5 on the May AP Exam have the opportunity to earn college credit in addition to their high school credit for the course. Some EHS graduates have saved a semester or two of college work through this process! AP courses can also help you develop the writing skills, problem-solving techniques and study habits that will prepare you for college academics. FACTS ABOUT AP AT EHS: • In recent years, nearly 1/3 of juniors and 1/2 of seniors took at least one AP course. • Well over 3/4 of the students who took the exams in the last few years have been eligible for college credit. • Those who do not pass an exam still enjoy the advantage of having taken rigorous AP courses, demonstrating commitment to learning, wh
