Drugstore.com only joined google checkout in July of 2007. If they are no longer accepting that form of payment, they probably could not come to a permanent agreement. However, no public announcement has been made by either side. Regarding Google Checkout in general, no, it is not going away soon. Considering the money Google has to invest in the business, and the stores it is attracting and maintaining (political campaigns are now using Google Checkout for contributions), expect “GCO” to be around for awhile.
