Why does Dickinson have a deferred recruitment system?
First year students need ample time to adjust to college life without the time commitment of joining Greek organizations. Dickinson and the Panhellenic Association believe it is important for first-year students to focus on academic achievement, making friends, and settling into college life before making decisions about what types of student organizations in which they will want to become involved.
