There are life saving implications for patients and their doctors. Previously, those needing a CT scan were sent in an ambulance with a nurse to Peace Arch Hospital in White Rock. The average turn around for this trip was approximately four hours. The delay in providing a diagnosis came with enormous risks, and on two occasions patients “crashed” en route and needed emergency resuscitation.
