When milk is used in soap bar manufacturing, soaps are naturally alkaline, which negates any benefit “lactic acids” would have on the skin. Lactic acid in milk is already quite mild, put that into a highly alkaline environment and the acid won’t work. Also, we were concerned with hygiene. Bar soaps are directly handled, plus lack of preservatives combined with water (to make it lather) makes soaps a great breeding ground for bacteria. Add milk to that and you get food for the germs!
