mkcapen1 Teacher Middle School Debater Expert $(document).ready(function() { $(‘a.toggle_expert_titles’).click(function() { $(‘#show_expert_titles’).toggle(); return false; }); }); I believe that people find his writing style so different in the book The Road because he has characters that have no names but only an existence. One of them, the man’s son, has never known the world as it used to be and all he knows is the dismal world described in the novel. The entire story is kind of gruesome and includes cannibalism and a burned earth that is colorless and miserable. The days are always cold and there is no sunlight to warm the bodies. What sun is there is masked by gray clouds. The ocean is like sludge and is not colorful. The author painted a dismal book that is mostly communication between the boy and his father. It is a strange book, but can be interesting.
