Why does capellas playback sound poor and unnatural, while playing a music CD on my PC sounds normal?
capella itself does not generate the sound. The sound card alone is responsible for this, more specifically its MIDI functionality. You can improve the sound with a good wave-table-sound card (see above) although the sound will never be 100% realistic. Playback of a music CD is technically a totally different process.
