Why does CampusCruiser log me out without selecting the log out button?
If your idle time in the CampusCruiser system exceeds 30 minutes, then you will be logged out automatically. Before continuing to use your account, you will be prompted to log in again. For security purpose, users who are idle for 27 minutes within CampusCruiser are provided 3 minutes warning that their session will time out. Selecting “Yes” on the warning message will extent the user’s session for another 30 minutes. Note, however, that there are a few areas in CampusCruiser where a “Refresh Rate” can be set: • E-mail Personal Tool > Settings > “General” tab > Automatically Refresh E-mail Listing • MyCruiser (or “My___”) tab > Dashboard > drop-down list box for refresh rate If a refresh rate is set at these areas, the system automatically sends a request to obtain the latest information; this act side-steps the timeout.
