Why does BlueSkies need donations if fees for enrollment in the Children s Program cover the full cost of care?
Although full tuition for enrollment in the Children s Program reflects the full cost of children s care, it still does not pay the full cost of operating the program because full tuition does not include the cost of tuition reductions for those families who cannot pay the full fees. Donations to the BlueSkies scholarship fund support our efforts to offer need-based tuition assistance to as many families as possible, while still maintaining a balanced budget and operating reserve fund, as well as providing our teachers with living wages that correspond to the value we place on their work.
