Why does Biomedical Engineering have a different matriculation process from the other engineering departments?
Biomedical Engineering is one of our smaller engineering departments and is highly desirable among many engineering students. Due to the size of the department, a limited number of students matriculate each year. Our advisers work with students to help them identify viable alternatives to Biomedical Engineering if they are not able to matriculate into that program. Students often find that the alternative engineering major will more readily help them achieve their career or continuing academic goals.
