It’s because people that have some social connections (i.e. who says what is “cool”) is extroverted people. Of course, they judge who is not like them and makes so that they are the coolest kind of people in the world. Anyway, introverted is not considered “desirable” by some people because they don’t talk so much, so the people will not know them and will not consider them desirable. Like in your friend example, he spends 4/5 of his day in his room, so hardly someone will know him, since he don’t go out to talk with people. But extroverted people are just narcissists, and can’t have close friends because they talks a bit with everybody but don’t try to be a closer friend with just one/two people. I agree with you about the problems of both of them, but it’s because they are introverted or extroverted at the max.
